The assistant Area Manager will assist the Area Manager in the development and supervision of nightly operations wherever needed, adhering to and administering all applicable policies, practices and procedures, and striving to further the Company mission and uphold the Company philosophy.

In this position you will be accountable for assisting the area manager in the nightly operations in this area, ongoing customer relations and to supervise employees at multiple facilities Waukesha County.

  • You must have a proven record of excellent management experience; an ability to interact well with customers, and be someone who is great with people, who cares for and motivates their employees toward excellence.
  • You must have a Valid Driver License with a driving record that is insurable by business insurance standards; Criminal background checks including FBI fingerprinting for government clearance; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

This position is physically challenging. It is a "hands on" management position that will require some cleaning, especially when training office cleaners. You will have to move vigorously and consistently, with a fast pace for up to ten hours. You will clean and train others to clean.

Starting salary of $15.50 is based on industry experience, as well as supervisory experience. We offer benefits on the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.

This is a full-time 2nd shift position 3 pm-12 am Monday through Friday and the rare weekend coverage.

In this position the Assistant Area Manager will know and fully understand all areas of responsibility.

Quality Assurance:

-Maintain and keep up-to-date information and familiarity with all facilities/units, including:

Contract cleaning specifications
Contract and customer history: specific or repeated concerns, unique tasks, customer preferences
Organization: operating hours, security procedures, communication procedures, routes and budgets, supplies and equipment, Account and Route Information Sheets

-Ensure consistent cleaning quality:

Promptly respond and verify completion of all customer requests, concerns and/or complaints
Complete scheduled nightly walk-throughs and account inspections
Perform regular spot checks and general walk-thru inspections with/without FS or LC
Report any special quality concerns to AM/OM for discussion and immediate resolution


-Ensure proper completion of initial, on-site training for all personnel

Complete training checklist on every new employee

-Monitor ongoing development of personnel:

Provide retraining or ongoing training as needed
Provide information to AM for promotional or advancement opportunities for selected personnel

Employee Relations:

-Maintain regular employee contact (daily, weekly, monthly) to monitor employee satisfaction levels, assess employee recognition and promote possible advancement opportunities, assess training needs, seek out possible fill-in help and support, etc

-Project and promote a positive image of the company

Fill-in and Coverage:

-Reporting and Budgets:· Call AM/OM nightly at the time assigned· Punch in and out nightly according to assigned schedule· After initial training period, clean assigned routes under budgeted time· Be available and flexible to the overall needs of the company, YOU MAY TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE STATE, IF NEEDED! [Travel time is paid and mileage is reimbursed]· Report any out of the ordinary events or occurrences, such as, poor performance or exceptional performance of coworkers, security issues, work related injuries or accidents, special customer requests, etc. -Supplies and Equipment:· Inspection janitorial closets in each account you visit nightly· Ensure regular supply stock and good equipment condition and report all problems or needs to AM/OM· Proper use, training and maintenance of all supplies and equipment

Verify personal protective equipment [PPEs] are readily available and being properly used
Verify MSDS and SDS chemical books are available and current
